Being stylish on a budget can be difficult. Buying nice jewelry, shoes and clothes can be overwhelming and the cost can add up. However, with a few simple tips and tricks, you can still put together a nice wardrobe without having to shell out a ton of money.
If you want to find a lot of nice clothing without having to spend a lot, buy used. One easy way to do that is to stop by your local thrift store. You can also shop online for used clothing. Some of my favorite online used clothing shops include Swap.com and thredUP. You can also use apps such as Poshmark, Vinted, or Tradesy to buy, sell and even trade used clothing.
Shop Factory/Outlet Stores
If you want to shop name brand without the name brand price, look for outlets for some of your favorite stores. For example, I am a huge fan of Banana Republic but sometimes when I don’t want to spend too much money, I check out Banana Republic Factory. One thing to keep in mind is that sometimes the outlet/factory stores might not have the same quality as the actual stores, so make sure to just check for quality before buying.
Use Cash Back Websites and Apps
There’s various cash back websites and apps that you can use to earn some cash back whenever shopping at certain stores online. My favorite cash back website is Ebates because there’s a lot of great cash back deals on a lot of popular stores. You can install the Ebates browser extension to be notified of the cash back deals whenever you’re shopping from a participating online store.
Look for Coupon Codes
Do a quick coupon code search before buying anything onlnie. RetailMeNot is a great place to look for coupon codes and great deals. Honey is also a really cool browser extension that you can use that automatically enters and tries out coupon codes for you when shopping online.
Buy Timeless Pieces
Another great way to look stylish without having to spend a lot of money is to buy timeless pieces. Chasing trends can be pretty costly, especially when the item is only fashionable for a short amount of time. Instead, look into clothing that doesn’t seem to go out of style.
